Laura Moses Granger
Yoga Teacher, Musician, Singer, Kirtan Leader
I have been studying and practicing Yoga for over 40 years. My regard for Yoga as a deeply personal practice is the foundation of my dedication to serve the unique needs and capacities of each individual. With emphasis on harmonizing the breath with movement and appropriate body alignment, I surrender to the guidance of the moment to cultivate a free, safe, and sacred space to explore and experience with confidence and inherent wisdom.
My approach is to share my practice, making it an offering of love, of openness to and in alignment with the Divine flow of grace that connects us. Classes are a flowing style of traditional yoga and may include live music, mantra, meditation, pranayama and elements of Thai Massage and gentle adjustments to facilitate an integrated, holistic and healing yoga practice.
The pace is a slow to moderate flow along with held postures. Classes are offered intuitively, meaning I approach each session open to the energy and guiding wisdom of the moment without a pre-set agenda.
My intention is to hold a sacred, healing and nurturing space, inviting the discovery and exploration of your own true essence. We are our own best teachers, my prayer is to offer a way of practice that allows each individual to discover and cultivate their own authentic expression of Yoga.
My love for expressing love and devotion through music also goes back as far as I can remember. We spent part of most every day rejoicing through music at home, in school, in church. I offer traditional Kirtan in Sanskrit as well as songs of the soul in various languages and musical styles from many world traditions.
